Healthcare management’s role in reducing hospital acquired infections

Hospital acquired infections (HAIs) is a major safety concern for both health care providers and the patients. These infections also referred to as nosocomial infections (disease acquired while in a hospital) include central line-associated bloodstream infections, catheter-associated urinary tract infections, methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infections, ventilator-associated pneumonia and surgical site infectionso. This paper needs to describe each type of infection listed above and solutions to help reduce or eliminate these infections from occurring.
