Please first read (The Property Tax-School Funding Dilemma.pdf ) files pp. 34-42, to understand the topic. Than write 4 pages about the following Property Tax Myths in terms of local tax effort, and achieve the equity and adequacy in school funding:

– Myth 1: Property-poor school districts are also low-income districts.
– Myth 2: The property tax is a regressive tax.
– Myth 3: Property tax rates are a reasonable measure of property tax burden.
– Myth 4: Reducing reliance on property taxation is usually beneficial.
